Purpose
The purpose of this Society shall be to advance the professions of radiation and imaging disciplines and specialties; to assist in establishing and maintaining high standards of education; to enhance the quality of patient care; and to further the welfare and socioeconomics of radiologic technologists.
Mission of the ASRT
The mission of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists is to advance and elevate the medical imaging and radiation therapy profession and to enhance the quality and safety of patient care.

TSRT Mission
As an affiliate of ASRT, TSRT shares a common mission and purpose with ASRT. Affiliates provide services for their members, such as conferences, grass-roots networking, social networking, leadership opportunities, and community awareness in support of local radiologic technologists.

Raise awareness among the healthcare community of the responsibilities and education that Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Therapy students must complete before they are eligible to sit for the ARRT exam.
Promote Unity
Expand the opportunity for diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy students to come together and unite as one.
